A professional cleaning removes the plaque and tartar that brushing and flossing can't reach. It is the simplest way to care for your gums and catch problems early — and an easy appointment to fit into a trip to Bogotá.
What does it include?
We remove plaque and tartar that brushing can't reach and check your gums. Current starting prices for international patients are in our price guide.
Regular or deep cleaning?
A regular cleaning works above the gumline. A deep cleaning (root planing) cleans the roots below the gumline and is indicated when there is gum disease. It is done under local anesthesia and planned by the periodontist.
How often?
Many people need one or two cleanings a year. With gum disease, braces or heavy tartar build-up it may be every three to six months. Your dentist will tell you what fits your case.
