About this treatment
Wisdom teeth are the last molars to come in. They often lack space, grow at an angle or stay trapped in the bone, causing pain, swelling, infections or decay in the neighboring tooth. At Burbano Dental Studio they are removed by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, under local anesthesia and after studying your X-ray. We also perform other oral surgery procedures, such as frenectomies and grafts.
Planned surgery, not improvised
Maxillofacial surgeon
Wisdom tooth extractions are performed by an oral and maxillofacial surgery specialist.
X-ray based planning
Before surgery we review each tooth's position and its relation to nerves and neighboring teeth.
Clear aftercare
You leave with written care instructions and a scheduled follow-up.
How wisdom teeth removal works
Evaluation and X-ray
We examine your mouth and your panoramic X-ray. If you don't have one, we give you an order for a nearby imaging center.
Plan
We explain how many teeth should come out, whether in one or several visits, the cost and the aftercare.
Surgery
Done under local anesthesia at the clinic. In some cases it can be scheduled with sedation by an anesthesiologist.
Recovery
Written instructions: cold compresses, soft diet and the medication your surgeon prescribes.
Follow-up
We check healing and answer your questions — remotely if you have already flown home.
Payment options
We accept major payment methods. If you need several wisdom teeth removed, financing is available subject to approval.
At your evaluation you receive a complete written quote with the number of teeth and the type of surgery.
Ways to pay
Financing is subject to approval. Installments are defined after diagnosis.
